I am incredibly lucky that as a makeup artist and beauty guru here on YouTube, I get 99% of my products sent from brands or given to me at press/pr events and launches. Although, if a product I require for a tutorial is not available as a press sample I will buy it myself. I tend not to feature products I have been sent that I do not like as I feel there is no point in giving companies a bad name and if the product is no good I would not wish to use it in a tutorial. However, if I am using a product for the first time on camera (as I often am) and I do not like it, I will say so. Similarly, if a product is incredibly hyped up but is not of the quality it claims to be, I would be sure to tell you. I pride myself on the fact that viewers of my beauty videos can completely trust my opinion and product recommendations. I am not being compensated for this video.
